We will improve the regulation of unmanned aircraft

 Beijing, June 28 (Xinhua) The State Council and the Central Military Commission recently promulgated the Interim Regulations on the Flight Management of Unmanned Aircraft (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations), which will come into force on January 1, 2024.

 
The Regulations implement the overall national security concept, coordinate development and safety, adhere to the bottom line thinking and systematic concept, with the maintenance of aviation safety, public safety and national security as the core, with the improvement of unmanned aerial vehicle supervision rules as the focus, and carry out the whole chain management of unmanned aerial vehicles from design and production to operation and use. Efforts should be made to build a scientific, standardized and efficient management system for unmanned aircraft flight and related activities, so as to provide a strong legal guarantee for preventing and resolving unmanned aircraft safety risks and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of relevant industries.
The Ordinance comprises 6 chapters and 63 articles. Mainly according to the classification management idea, strengthen the airworthiness management and quality control of the design, production, maintenance and assembly of unmanned aircraft, establish the product identification code and the owner\'s real name registration system, and clarify the qualification requirements of the user and the operator; Strict management of flight activities, designating unmanned aircraft flight control airspace and airspace suitable for flight, establishing a flight activity application system, and clarifying flight activity norms; Strengthen supervision, management and emergency response, improve the integrated and comprehensive supervision and service platform, implement emergency response responsibilities, and improve emergency response measures.
