Against the background of the pandemic sweeping countrywide at present,Wuqing District Pandemic Prevention and Control Headquarter organized 29 towns and streets and five parks in the district to carry out emergency drills for prevention and control of covid-19 for the purpose of further upgrading emergency disposal and coordinated capacity of abrupt eruption of covid-19 in the district.On October 22,the first emergency drill for prevention and control of covid-19 was held in Wuqing Development Zone.
The drilling simulated a situation in which an employee of a foreign company in Wuqing Development Zone developed fever,fatigue,cough,and sore throat after a business trip to Kunming,Yunnan Province and after consultation with experts organized by Wuqing District People’s Hospital,he was diagnosed with covid-19
Waiting areas,temperature measurement areas,temporary isolation areas,information registration areas,sample collection areas,buffer zones,fever clinics,doctor offices of Wuqing District People\'s Hospital,isolation wards,case work and living environment,and district pandemic prevention and control headquarter offices were installed.The staffs conducted on-site epidemiological investigations of the hospital,carried out quarantine,control of the patient’s residential area and the company,and people exposed to living and working environment that is yet to go through terminal disinfection of the patient,his close contact and sub-close contact personnel were transferred via 120 to the centralized isolation point.Close contacts outside the zone,assisted research of secondary close contacts,nucleic acid test of all members in key district and other rounds were also practiced in the drilling.
Jiang Hongliang,Deputy Director of the Wuqing District Health Commission and Director of Center for Disease Control and Prevention,stated that according to the work requirements of the district pandemic prevention and control headquarters,29 towns and streets and 5 parks in the district were to carry out emergency drills for pandemic prevention and control,and to apply drills to test pre-plans before applying plans to gide practice,all in an effort to boost emergency response efficiency and ability of our district in responding to local pandemic.Wuqing Development Zone has ample experience in in pandemic prevention and control,and its emergency drill was tightly organized with clear division of labor and tactic cooperation among departments and hence the anticipated results were achieved.
Cui Kejuan,Director of Fever Clinic of the Second People\'s Hospital of Wuqing Distric went:by participating in this whole-process emergency drill,we have fully tested emergency coordination and organization capabilities and on-site handling capabilities of various departments,and strengthened coordination and cooperation between various departments and positions.In the next step,we will summarize our experience,further refine the work process,and provide better escort to help health and safety of people in our district.
