Wuqing Development Zone is approved as the first city-level ecological industrial park in Tianjin
Recently, Wuqing Development Zone has been approved as the only city-level ecological industrial park in the whole city after the joint acceptance of Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, Municipal Commercial Affairs Bureau and Municipal Science and Technology Commission.
Ecological industrial park aims at guiding and encouraging the park enterprises to carry out the technical innovation, strengthening the promotion and application of environmental protection new technology, promoting the modern management level of enterprises, abiding by the "3R" principle of the reduction, recycling and recirculation for circular economy, and finally achieving the "zero release" of pollutants by the waste exchange, cyclic utilization, clean production, etc. From the perspective of ecological environment protection, the ecological industrial park is the industrial park with the most environmentally friendly significance and ecological green concept.
Development Zone started the construction of city-level ecological industrial park in 2015. Since then, Development Zone, guided by the Ecological Civilization Thought of Xi Jinping in new age, has always adhered to the concept of "environmental protection first and zone prospering with ecology", has comprehensively implemented the overall layout of "Five-in-one", and has successively completed many key work such as the construction of "no coal area", the governance of "scattered, disorderly and dirty enterprises", comprehensive improvement of VOCs, etc. In the meantime, Development Zone constantly increases the vigor of environmental protection propaganda, enhances the ecological awareness of the public, continues boosting the industrial enterprises to implement the technical transformation and strengthens the supervision, which effectively improves the quality and comprehensive competition ability of ecological environment in park.
